Special Session on Human Symbiotic Systems |
The 2012 IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems (FUZZ IEEE 2012), June 2012, Brisbane, Australia |
This special session aims at discussing the basic principles and methods of designing intelligent interaction with the bidirectional communication based on the effective collaboration and symbiosis between the human and the artifact, i.e. robots, agents, computer and so on.
The research society "Human Symbiotic System (HSS)" was established in the Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Intelligent Informatics on August in 2007 by the session organizers. This society aims at encouraging the academic and industrial discussion about the research on Human-Agent Interaction (HAI), Human-Robot Interaction (HRI), and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) concerning Symbiotic Systems.
Reflecting the fact that this society covers a wide range of topics, in this session we invite the related researchers from a variety of fields including intelligent robotics, human-machine interface, Kansei engineering and so on. In addition, at this session some research results will be also presented by the core members of our research society.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to theory and application of:
· Human-Agent Interaction (HAI)
· Human-Robot Interaction (HRI)
· Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
· Social Communication or Interaction
· Human Communication
· Partner or Communication Robots
· Hospitality Robots
· Pet-type or Animal Robots
· Human Interface Systems
· Cooperative Intelligence
· Kansei Engineering
Papers are invited from prospective authors with interest on the related areas.
